Brother-Michael “Katlow” Cox was born in Brooklyn, NY, on February 5, 1957. He attended Erasmus Hall High School and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from LaGuardia Community College. He also participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate High School for many years.

Michael began his photography journey in 1983 when film photography was prevalent. In 2009, a negative comment—”I don’t want you taking my picture with that B.S. camera”—ignited his determination, transforming him into a renowned photographer across the Tri-State area and beyond.

His work has been featured in Designer Beth Anne’s interview on Alberta Prime Time TV – Building a Fashion Empire. As a published photographer, Michael strives to enhance the art of photography, living by the motto: “One Picture, One Word, Beautiful…”
